Temporary redness, swelling, tenderness, headache, or bruising may occur. Less common risks can include asymmetry, eyelid or brow drooping, an unwanted change in expression, or other effects related to the treated muscles.

Botulinum toxin products also carry important safety warnings. Seek prompt medical care if you experience difficulty swallowing, speaking, or breathing; generalized muscle weakness; vision changes; or symptoms that concern you. Your injector will review relevant risks before treatment.
