The Three Modes of Definition
Prep
Your session begins with Prep mode, a controlled warm-up that prepares the muscle tissue for deeper engagement. The applicators activate the targeted area, easing your muscles into the work ahead and ensuring maximum response from the following modes.
Tone
Tone mode delivers consistent contractions designed to build muscle endurance and refine definition. This phase trains the muscle fibers responsible for the lean, sculpted appearance, the shape beneath the strength.
Sculpt

Does TruFlex® Hurt?
TruFlex® is not painful; the sensation is more accurately described as an intense, controlled workout for your muscles. You'll feel powerful contractions throughout the session, building progressively across the three modes. Intensity is fully customizable, and your provider calibrates each mode to match your tolerance while keeping the treatment effective. Most clients describe the experience as unusual at first, then surprisingly comfortable as the body adapts.
How Is TruFlex® Different from CoolTone?
Both are FDA-cleared muscle stimulation technologies, but they work differently. CoolTone® uses Magnetic Muscle Stimulation, a single magnetic field that triggers involuntary contractions. TruFlex® uses Multi-Directional Stimulation through TruControl technology, allowing it to engage muscle groups across multiple directions and treat up to eight areas per session in three progressive modes. Your provider will help you determine which technology best serves your specific goals during consultation.
When Will I See Results?
Most clients begin noticing increased firmness and definition within two to four weeks of starting their treatment series. Visible muscle development continues progressively, with peak results typically apparent eight to twelve weeks after the final session, as your muscle fibers fully adapt and rebuild. The transformation deepens over time, reflecting the way muscle development naturally unfolds.
Can I Combine TruFlex® with Other Treatments?
Yes. TruFlex® is designed to complement other body contouring services beautifully. Many clients pair it with CoolSculpting Elite or TruSculpt iD for the complete picture, reducing stubborn fat in targeted areas while building defined muscle beneath.
